BVO Eats! – Wähfles
About BVO Eats! — Every month, BVO Eats! will feature a restaurant in Chino Hills and highlight a spotlight dish. The purpose is not to provide a comprehensive review, but to introduce our readers to some of our favorite eateries in this wonderful city. We love exploring our local community — what better way of doing this than eating?
Grand Opening Party
Our grand opening party was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who stopped by. Thank you to Jason from Tom Ford and Wendy from NVISION. Here are some highlights from last Saturday. Enjoy!
BVO Eats! – Ojiya
Here at BVO, we are huge fans of Japanese cuisine so we are especially excited to share our experience at Ojiya Chino Hills (4183 Chino Hills Pkwy, Chino Hills, CA) for the first post of BVO Eats!
Sashimi, sushi, bento boxes, broiled fish, and soups — don’t let the long wait deter you because this restaurant has it all. We are still drooling over the Kaisen Zousui (rice porridge with salmon roe and crab), our spotlight dish. The “porridge” has the consistency of soup, but once we tasted the broth, we had no complaints. There are generous portions of crab which adds a mild sweetness to the soup, and it was the perfect compliment to our sushi. This dish can easily be shared by two, but be warned that you will be fighting over the last few drops! To summarize, Ojiya Chino Hills was awesome!
Spotlight Dish: Kaisen Zousui
BVO Tip: Make sure to go early to avoid the crowds. The wait for the sushi bar is generally shorter, but the menu selection will be limited (you can order the Kaisen Zousui though).
